Oxfordshire County Council’s fire crews tackled a fire at the Malmaison Hotel in the Oxford Castle complex on the morning of Monday 11 June. Firefighters arrived at the scene at 7.30am and rapidly brought under control a serious fire in the main electrical switch room on the second floor of the Malmaison Hotel. Forty staff and guests were safely evacuated from the building.
