The Outdoor Pool

The outdoor swimming pool at Hinksey.
A sunny lunchtime and look at the numbers of swimmers! A lovely facility and apparently Fusion are going to invest in the re-lining of the pool over the winter.
Today it could be renamed 'The Green Plunge' due to the harmless algae bloom the pool seems to grow after heavy rainfall.

Hinksey Park Entrance

Hinksey Park is 15 minutes walk away from Oxford City Centre, off the Abingdon Road. It was laid out in the 1930's on the site of the former Oxford Waterworks. Behind this lovely entrance is a group of small water ponds, and behind that a larger lake. More photos on another visit.
