You see lot of these Pheasants out in the country side, bit I saw this one close in to suburbia this afternoon, near the North Oxford Golf Course, which maybe a good area for Pheasant I am not sure. At least he is unlikely to be shot while around the gold course.

I thought their natural habitat was lurking in the hedges and then running out into traffic just as you pass in your car!
