The Eagle and Child
Built around 1650 and now owned by St John's College this famous Oxford pub is not far from the busy commercial centre of Oxford in St Giles. The Eagle and Child is popular tourist stop in Oxford as it was where JRR Tolkin and CS Lewis met up for a pint once a week for about 20 years. Well worth a visit, like this photo as there are no cars in front of the pub!!

I missed this the last time I visited Oxford. I'll make a point the next time I visit. I love the street scene here.
