Not sure why I took this photo this afternoon,trying to get a nice photo of the Street Sign, but I don't think it worked. Also confused to why the name Sunderland Avenue, Oxford is a long way from Sunderland? Maybe the residents were big supporters of The Black Cats?

Up the Black Cats... Sunderland Avenuve is the street in Philip Pullmans novel " Northern Lights (The Goldern Compass) " where there is a hole into a paradise World. I've often wish i could escape into it so i can escape the wife, but alas i've not yet found it.
