Up until about 6 months ago this was one of the nicest general stores I had been to in Oxford, it even had a little Post Office at the back of it, but now it is gone. Apparently the owner did not renew the lease, so the business closed. Gimbles North Parade Oxford. Can anyone remember it?

What Happened to Gimbles?

Great photo - very interesting. I like looking in the car's mirror.
It's so sad when shops disappear like that. It happens all the time over here. I like the composition of the photo; it's like a scene from a movie.
It's such a shame that this little shop has closed, now you have to go a mile or more to use the post office, sadly, A.
Yes it is a shame the owner Peter Brewer forced us out of North Parade,the property is still left empty Jan 2009! , we so wanted to stay . ST Giles Post Office is to close soon, it would have been great for Gimbles to still be in North Parade.
