Radcliffe Infirmary 1770 - 2007
On Friday the Radcliffe Infirmary closed, and all the departments moved up the hill to join all the other hospitals in Headington. I only had to use the hospital once during my time in Oxford and that was a work related eye injury. The hospital open in 1770 and has worked very closely with the University, who have purchased the site. In 1941 Penicillin was first tested at the Radcliffe.
